THIS IS WHAT WE ARE INTERESTED IN
Our group is fascinated by the immune cell cross-talk in cancer and in immune-mediated diseases, such as Graft-versus-Host disease (GvHD) after allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation (allo-HCT) or immune-related adverse events (irAEs) after immune checkpoint inhibitor (CPI) therapy.
We aim to identify mechanisms and pathways that
- enable the modulation of immune responses
- help predict disease outcome
- allow the development of novel immunotherapeutic approaches for the treatment of tumors and auto-aggressive diseases.
All of our research projects are highly translational, combining in vitro and in vivo studies in both mice and humans with state-of-the-art technologies.
We are a highly motivated and lively group, always looking to recruit and support young dedicated scientists and clinicians.
